Palmitic Acid or Cetylic Acid is a saturated fatty acid commonly found naturally in fats and waxes in Palm oil and Palm Kernel Oil. It is used as an ingredient in detergents, soaps and cleaning products, including as a surfactant. It is also used in cosmetics and beauty products, for a variety of its properties, including as a fragrance, opacifying agent, surfactant, cleansing agent, emulsifying agent and as an emollient. Can be used in animal feed bypass fat for dairy cattle.
